Max # of years - 5 years. Maximum Salary in any year - $20,000,000 Minimum Salary in any year - $500,000
Maximum Increase in any yearr of contract 1st Year Salary - $500,000 - $1,999,999 - Max Increase per year = $500,000 1st Year Salary - $2,000,000 - $5,999,999 - Max Increase per year = $1,000,000 1st Year Salary - $6,000,000 - $20,000,000 - Max Increase per year = $2,000,000
There is no maximum, minimum, or limit of any kind on the amount of money you may decrease in any year of a contract.
Teams who BEGIN the off-season over the Soft Cap get a Mid-Level Exception (MLE). This amounts to $6,000,000 for this league. You MAY split the MLE, but only one time. You do not have to split it in half. You may use 5,000,000 on one player, and 1,000,000 on another, both signed using your MLE. Or, you may use it all on one player. In Addition - The MLE may be for as many as 5 years, but you may never exceed 6 million during the contract. So if you start at $6,000,000 you may offer more years, but can not offer any increases. It is allowable to put options and QO's in these as well.
Teams over the cap may only use their MLE, or they may sign players to minimum contracts, which means the contract may start at only $500,000 - no higher.
A player cannot be traded until three months after signing a contract, or December 15th of that season, whichever is later.

- The game does not allow you to release a player if the team in question has 13 players but 1 injured or 14 players and 2 injured or 15 players and 3 injured.
