Felt like bringing this up since i talked about it briefly on the shout box but it seems to me that this issue absolutely needs to be addressed.
1. Durant is only a 90. That means he is 9 points away from kobe lebron and wade. Crazy I know
2. Portland just told me that because he doesn't have good assists #'s he isn't a 99. Well then how does Kobe's lack of blocks and rebounds make him a 99?
I just see this as a very flawed statement out of portland which leads into a flawed system. If someone lacks in any particular category then how can they be a 99 based on what I was just informed on why durant isn't a 99?
Just wanted to address this with the rest of the league and see what everyone's thoughts were on the subject at hand.
Thanks

im really not that worried about it honestly, durant may only be a "90" but he plays like one of the best players in the game. but i do somewhat see your point because russel westbrook is only rated a "82" but he scores more and gets better assists then chris paul who is technically a "94"

Overall is just a number. You really need to investigate with the game to judge a rating i think.
Guards usually get higher ratings because there are lots of categories that would make someone like Kobe get a higher rating.
Also, stats have to do with tendencies.

Take a look at the ratings and tell me how many of those guys besides lebron is putting up better #'s than:
28.3 ppg 9.6 rpg 4.3 apg 1.7 spg
and I dont know his 3's or %'s but I am gonna say they are awesome
Like I have said just because his assists arent up there doesn't mean he isnt as good as someone who is lacking in a different category

Tendency Ratings are very important in nba 2k10.

Durant does that well b/c of the team he's on. It's not like the Thunder have a ton of great players on their roster right now. Being a 90 is sufficient b/c look what he's averaging right now. What more do you think he can average if he was a 94?
The ratings cannot and should not be changed midway through the season. We all agreed and that should be the end of it.

I never said they should be Philly. I think you tend to take what someone says and turn it around into something that you can disagree with. I never once said they should be changed in season. I said they are flawed and we should take a look at it. Also I am not necessarily saying that he could be putting up much better #'s if he was a 94 compared to a 90, however if he is only a 90 and producing the way he is, then how is Kobe and Wade a 99 and producing less than what Durant is? 9 point difference in ratings is a TON. Then you look at what he does compared to Kobe and Wade and how can you tell me he shouldn't be on the same level if not better than what they are at? I personally don't think anybody should be a 99.

ok, well being on this staff for a long time, i have really heard enough of this. i agree with the fact that the ratings are far from perfect, but honestly, this is what 2k10 did, and they arent bad. Durrant SHOULD be like a 94, and Kobe and LeBron should be 99. If you are considered the best players in the league, 99 is fair. Wade should be lik a 97...BUT THATS MY OPINION. Thats all it is, personal opinion, and the league was made like that, and everyone joined. personally i dont wanna see anything change. i want the league to progress like a sim league should, according to the game. thats why i joined. anyways i think we all need to stop complaining and just enjoy, because its not like the Heat who have two 99's arent unbeatable...they are pretty easily beatable actually

Wade and Kobe have lower #'s b/c of the teams they are on. A lot of good scorers on both teams, even with all of the new players.
Stats are not just about ratings, it's about each team's personnel, which can make a big difference.
You say the rating system is flawed and you want it to be looked at, that's what we have the offseason for.

Go look at the post i made in the shout box at 11:43:43PM last night. Actually read stuff before you go trying to call someone out next time. Thanks

I'm not the one bitching about minor things like a rating change.
If you know we're doing ratings changes, why the bitching? What is it for?
And I don't have time to read the last 30 messages sent on the chatbox thing. That's not up to me to dissect what you mean.
