I wanted to bring up a new thread that talked about changes to the teams in this sim league
Top 2 teams that made downgrades to their teams IMO Orlando Magic Miami Heat
Top 2 teams that made upgrades to their teams IMO Washington Wizards Atlanta Hawks
Orlando- Got rid of Howard Lewis and Nelson. Added Granger, but what was the reasoning behind that? U already had VC and Shard on the wings that can score. Yes you got younger on the wing, but u gave up the most dominating C in the game. Camby is on his last legs as well as Miller and West not as the main offensive guy is just another role player
Miami- You gave up your 3 headed monster almost immediately. Bosh up front is 10x better than scola and thompson. Just not smart IMO to detach the 3 headed monster as quickly as they became a team.
Wizards- You flip Blatche Wall and some other pieces and receive Rondo and Howard. Probably best PG/C combo in the league. You also added a nice wing in Shard for marbles. Signing Iverson was the scoring guard you needed. Landry is a great role player in the frontcourt with Howard. Going from a lottery team to 2nd best record in the league so far. I don't exactly agree with some of those trades that went down, but well played and you made yourself a contender. The one thing with a big question mark is your bench. Hopefully you don't get any bigtime injuries
Hawks- You had a solid team to begin with, but I love the upgrade from Horford to Aldridge in the post. You gain a more offensive minded post that u desperately needed. You are still small in the post with Aldridge as your C, but thats what works for Atlanta and I like that upgrade to offensive minded Aldridge. Also love the SF upgrade from Williams to Chandler. You stay small on your bench, but Blair and Paul r up and coming guys who are in a great role off the bench for you. Losing your 2 bench guard scorers in Teague and Jamal Crawford could be costly, but overall I really think this team could reach the Finals.
Now get at me boys. I am sure there will be some disagreements. Love to see what everyone else thinks

I agree w your assessment of Atlanta in regards to Horford/Aldridge. I LOVE horford as a player but the dude really wasn't doing anything special for the team. As far as upgrades on the SF spot...JJ was listed as my SF w Crawford being my SG, just pointing that out. I also hated losing Teague, but I do like Blair's game and George is a bright spot that should definately improve. Chandler will also fill in nicely @ SF, for now. I also agree I do need to move Aldridge from C to F and get a better C. But all seems to be working at the moment.

I looked at the Heat roster and always wondered who he got for Bosh. Terrible move, IMO.

Chicago has just made himself a team to watch for out of the east. Starting 5 is now Rose, Lee, Wallace, Millsap, Noah. Coming off the bench is Korver, Miles and Gibson. Very solid 8 man rotation. Probably one of the top 3 in the league now. Should absolutely turn things around after a bad 8-10 start

I think that Miami(and we disagreed a lot as I thought he was an annoying nuisance) had to do something. I don't blame him for trading Bosh. He originally got David West, Devin Harris, and Darren Collison. Somehow, he turned those 3 players into Scola, Thompson, Salmons, and Aaron Brooks.
I think that was where he went wrong. Trading Bosh was a smart move in order to obtain more depth in general(which Miami lacked at the very beginning). It was the trading of both Harris and Collison that hurt him. And I'd say David West is a better alternative to Scola, so he fucked up in the end.
For that, I respect that he didn't just sit and do nothing. He went out and aggressively tried to make his roster better by trying to add depth to that bench and to the other 2 starting positions.
I'd say my team has done a solid job too. I traded Turner(who's playin real well and I admit I lost out on that deal), Louis Williams, Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes, and Jrue Holiday. All young players, all with a lot of promise but I didn't believe that I could compete with Louis Williams and Thaddeus Young in my starting rotation and besides for that, Young and Turner have similar size, so one of them would've been benched.
I eventually turn those guys into Andrew Bynum(young pure center), Jonny Flynn(young pg with high ceiling), Tayshaun Prince(veteran in his contract year who is a versatile player), Corey Brewer(huge surprise 6th man for my team), Martell Webster(scoring machine off my bench), along with the 2 mainstays in Iguodala and Brand. Not sayin the 76ers will do big things but thus far, we're off to a good start.

Not sayin the 76ers will do big things but thus far, we're off to a good start. When you have the best team in the league you don't go and fuck it up. All he had to do was go out and add a couple FA's to fill out his bench. Bosh Wade and Lebron would be more than enough to carry that team. As for your team, I thought about putting your team up there due to it's very surprising start. Just thought Atlanta with that hot out of the gates start and the difference from lottery to 2nd place for the Wiz were top 2. I do disagree with you about Flynn tho. I mean I am not sure how the committee will adjust his rankings during the 1st offseason, but in real life, I just don't see him with that high of a ceiling. I have been watching Flynn play for 4 years now and he just doesn't have the stuff to be that good IMO. He has no shot from the outside and is soo up and down in his play. Plus they have very little to build around in Minny. Rambis is going to kill that team. Beasley is a head case, They r killing Love's potential and Darko is a joke. Flynn is way too inconsistent and who knows how the whole Rubio ordeal goes down. But again that's just my opinion on the matter

Luckily Beasley being a head case doesnt factor into this sim league ;-)

What do you think of my moves, guys? Just looking for opinions!~ =) Clearing space for FA is a good idea, but u cleared WAY TOO much. Gilbert is left on your team and thats about it. Crawford and Butler r gonna want to go to teams that can win. You cant. You would need 2 studs to want to come to Indiana and team with Gilbert for you to have any impact within the next 3 years. Good luck with all of it tho.

agreed clearing cap space was a good idea, but you didnt need to clear your entire team minus like 3 guys, that could leave you in serious trouble

Wow, you guys need to chill out on critiquing people's teams, you don't have to make the guy feel like shit b/c he did something that you wouldn't have done.

Yeah 76ers, he asked and we gave our honest opinions. If people can't handle an opinion especially after he asked for it then he shouldn't bother asking. I think 76ers is just mad that I said I don't think Flynn has that high of a ceiling lol... Chill out on the critiquing hahaha. I am pretty sure you would be the only one thinking we r shitting on his team. I even told him best of luck with it.

Must say, I don't understand Philly's response here at all.
Indy asks for opinions on his team.
People give them opinions on his team, in a pretty even-keeled way.
Philly calls it shitting on Indy's team. - ??
It is obvious I will never understand you Mr. 76ers
