3 Stars Criteria
#1 - Player must be on a winning team that night.
#2 - Player must have the best game* from his team.
#3 - No more than one player per team (Unless there are less than 3 games played)
Rookie Of The Night Criteria
#1 - Player must have the best game* from a rookie on his team.
#2 - Player does NOT need to be on a winning team, though it is a factor and is preferred. Often the best rookies are on the worst teams so that criteria is not always fair. A close call between two players could be decided by one being on a winning team that night though.
*All parts of a players' stat line will be looked at. Efficiency is a big factor that should not be discounted. 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists on 9/13 shooting and 8/9 from the line would very possibly "beat out" 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists on 11/26 shooting and 4/7 from the line. Also, an all-around game (getting steals and blocks and NOT turning the ball over much) will get extra consideration. A player with 2 blocks and 2 steals but 8 less points (just a vague example), if everything else is similar, could very likely "beat out" that similar stat line that does not put up the blocks and steals.
**Consideration will also be given to players who make the "Headlines" that 2K10 puts out in each Box Score image.
