I am currently deciding if I want to step down. I enjoy this league but I do not enjoy waiting for a week for a sim and the fact that we aren't even half way through the season. Theirs only so much you can do. Bottom line it's just kind of boring. I will let you know if I decide to step down.

I guess it takes some time for sims to come out but Marco and Knicks, just like everyone else, have lives. All you have to do is log on for a minute everyday to check if sims are up, or if someone sent you a trade offer. If your bored then join another league or maybe go and hang out with friends and family? Anyways if you do end up quiting it would be a shame.

You say we aren't even half way through the season. I say We are like 65 days ahead of real life schedule. No im not trying to say they dont have lives. I am well aware they do and so do I with school, frat life and everything. And I do sign in it just seems kind of pointless. when we probably wont finish the season till summer That reply is unfair. Being a GM doesn't consume as much time as being an admin. Being a GM consumes minutes, maybe some hours if you are a really good GM. Being an admin consumes hours and hours... I enjoy this league but I do not enjoy waiting for a week for a sim. That is false. Last week i had to study for a serious exam and even by then, i made some time to post in 1 sim every 2 days (thats 2, not 7 days = 1 week) --------------------------------------------- This is what i was talking about yesterday with SAS. You work your ass out to deliver something nice and then, members (GMs in this case) want more. Instead of trying to help the way they can with whatever (even off-topic threads help), they prefer to complain and feel like they deserve more.

Amen Denver and Portland. If anyone is looking to this league to take up all their free-time and entertain them during all of your down-time and keep you from being bored...well that's a huge burden to put on us haha. This should be one of many things you have interest in that take up your time each day. We don't really expect most GM's to spend more than 5 minutes a day here on average. Some days more, but 5 minutes or so a day should not be hard to get to.
Check in, see what's going on, make a post when warranted, and then move on to the next thing that interests you. Read about your favorite team on some NBA blogs or message boards, go play a video game, I don't know, do something on your own.
Memphis I hope you stay. If you do, you have to update your salary chart, it is badly out of date. That should keep you busy for a bit :-)

You guys say it takes less than 5 minutes to check in and take care of everything right? But at the same time you guys are complaining because not enough members are active enough and don't do enough on the board to keep them from checking in only once a day. I just kind of see it as a double standard out of you administrators. I guess I am just confused on to how u tell us to be more active because we r complaining about the non activity, but then turn around and so it really doesnt need to take more than 5 minutes to check in on a daily basis.
Oh well, i'll just keep doin me

There are plenty of people who simply are not taking the time each day to log in. Our first goal for all GM's is to get them all to log on once a day. That in itself takes me, personally, 3 seconds. lol. I type "rssa" in my url bar, hit the "down" arrow, then hit enter. Mozilla makes that easy, and I have clicked the "keep me signed in for - Forever" pulldown bar on the sign-in page, so as soon as I enter the site, I am signed in. It's crazy easy to just log on.
The 2nd goal is to get people to then check out what's happening in the league, and make a post every once in awhile. That's where the rest of the 5 minutes (or so) would come from. This is also pretty easy.
If everyone did those two simple things we would not have much to harp on about activity.
I really don't understand your position on this. Maybe I'm mis-reading some things or it is just typed in a confusing way. Let's see.
- Yes pretty much, most days that's all it takes.
- Yes, as I said above, there are members that are simply not even logging on for a few days at a time. We would prefer people sign on once a day, as stated, it is not difficult.
- This part of that sentence I'm not sure I understand. Who doesn't do enough on the board to keep them from checking in only once a day? Again I'm honestly not sure what you mean by this statement. Maybe a new choice of words?
Marco and I are on here every single day and spend time working on some thing or other every day. We should not be able to expect each GM to take 3 seconds and at least log in? Seems hypocritical from you actually. If we have time every single day to put in minutes and hours, we should be able to expect other GMs to put in seconds and minutes.
So, you guys are the ones complaining about us, is that what you are saying? Then I say again, if you expect enough output from this league to keep you interested for hours every day, that's just not fair to us. If I was paid to do this and did ONLY this every day, yea maybe I could put out enough stuff to keep everyone in this league entertained for hours every day. But that's just not happening and it's kind of ridiculous to think about. The Staff here is just trying to get 30 active GMs who have 5 minutes or less a day to log on to the site and contribute when warranted. It is not difficult, truly.
- Another statement I'm not quite sure what you mean. turn what around? Yes, it really doesn't need to take more than 5 minutes from the average GM to check in daily.
Please help me understand what you are confused about on this.

You personally have told me that you want more people to start doing stuff on the board and it's frustrating that its mainly u and marco doing everything. Then you also say that it only takes 5 minutes max per day to get in here and do what u need to do. That is just saying u want 2 different things is all I was saying. I talked to Marco about it last night. I'm not saying you guys are doing a bad job or anything. Just saying you have said 1 thing and then said another. That is all

Yes, I want more of the Staff to do things. However with the average GM (staff is not an average GM), our first and biggest goal is to get 30 guys who can just take 5 minutes or less a day and log on.
You are right that myself and Marco would LOVE for those average GMs to put in more time, but again, our first and primary goal is to find 30 guys who can just log on and check the league each day at minimum.
One thing you are referring to, I am talking about Staff. The other I am talking about "the average GM". I guess that is why it seemed like I was saying two different things....I was, in reference to two different situations.
