In this deal, the first under the new management, the Nets acquire an all star, veteran PF in David West, 2 pieces for depth (Ilgauskas and Chalmers), a very large expiring contract in Peja and 2 2nd round picks while dealing Devin Harris and getting out from under the horrible deal that is Travis Outlaw.

(83)David West $8,287,500 $7,525,000 (70) Peja Stojakovic $14,256,000 (70)Zydrunas Ilgauskas - $1,352,181 (72)Mario Chalmers - $854,839 2011 and 2012 second rounders
NJ Trades to Miami:
81| Devin Harris (PG/SG) $8,981,000 $9,319,000 $8,500,000 70| Travis Outlaw (SF/SG) $7,000,000 $7,000,000 $7,000,000 $7,000,000 $7,000,000 68| Kris Humphries (PF) $3,200,000

Trade #2 (8/4/10)
The 2nd deal the Nets made is a minor one but one that could possible pay off big down the road. I have a lot of confidence in a young Gerald Henderson developing and that is why this deal was made. Morrow may be better today, but by the time we are competing for championships, I expect Henderson to be a better player.
Nets Acquire:
68 | Gerald Henderson (SG/SF) $2,103,840 $2,250,600 $3,101,327 $4,267,426
Nets Trade to Charlotte:
73 | Anthony Morrow (SG/SF) $4,000,000 $4,000,000 $4,000,000
