Bayless is obviously the biggest benefit of this trade. He goes from the Portland back court which was a log jam to NOH behind the best pg in the game and now has a chance to finally get his opportunity in Toronto as Calderon or Derozan aren't going to block him out of minutes. He should be the 1st guard off the bench now and probably get around 23-25 minutes a game now

This is Bayless' opportunity to shine. If he emerges as the player everyone thought he was going to be coming out of the draft then the Raptors might have found themselves another young guy to build around.

A starting 5 of PG Knight SG Bayless SF DeRozan PF Davis C Bargs would do WONDERS for this team.

Are the Raptors finished making moves though? I mean this deal kinda come from nowhere, because you heard about NO talking with Philly and Denver about AI2 and Melo, and then all of a sudden Toronto jumps out there. Could there be more work being done to make this a better team before the draft ever gets here.

Do you think the Raptors could be interested in Carmelo? Would he stay in Canada after the season, signing a long term deal? They do have a huge expiring in Stojakovic and some young pieces. Maybe since Weems is playing better than DeRozan, go Arkansas!, they could do something like DeRozan, Stojakovic, something, maybe a 1st for Melo. Or even try to complete a deal for Andre Iguodala. You wouldnt have thought it after losing their franchise cornerstone, but the Raptors very well could be on the rise.

I think Carmelo would rather stay in Denver then join the Raptors, haha.

I dont know. Why do none of the NBA'ers want to go to Canada? It's like they can only get international guys to want to play up there.

I don't know, I live in Canada and it's alright other then the weather right now. If he doesn't stay in Denver though, he'll probably be gone to the Knicks or the Bulls. Maybe the Nets.

Reason nba players don't like canada is it is different. If you go to new york then toronto you will see a huge difference. Hell even the water is different. Its like anyone of us going to europe we will see a big difference. Some players prefer to not accept change. I for one love canada but the way i have brain washed by American media i would love to live in the south or any major usa city.
