Dallas Sends: 77 | Jason Kidd | $8,500,000 | $8,500,000 68 | Juwan Howard | $1,352,181 64 | Darius Songalia | $4,818,000
Total Outgoing: $14,670,181 Total Incoming: $11,276,863
New York Sends 64 Eddy Curry $11,276,863 62 Danny Green $762,195
Total Outgoing: $11,276,863 Total Incoming: $14,670.181
I do this to get some value for Curry's contract...even though I am taking back even more salary overall, with an additional year of salary next season. I can try and run Kidd and Felton in the backcourt for now, and if not, I will be trying to trade Kidd.
Dallas gains cap space to get further under the hard cap, and plans to make a FA offer or 3 lol. He also gains roster space by dealing out these bums.

Just FYI I'm going to wait for Dallas's reasoning, I thought Kidd was an 81 not 77. I know this isn't the best deal he could have got but if he ends up with Iverson or someone decent then it won't be so bad.

With Shaq and T-Mac gone, I am going all out for AI and this gives me necessary cap space to get him on my team for atleast one year, after this trade I should have a salary of 33-34 million next year, more then enough money to sign a star player and a semi-talented ALL-STAR type player.
If I had contacted NJ earlier or he contacted me earlier, I would of accepted his J-Kidd for David West trade, but with him taking the WAS offer of Pierce, this was the next best thing available.
Last but not least this also gives a chance for R. Beaubois a chance to shine and be a stud player, it's not like my team's gonna completely suck now (I still got Dirk, Butler, Terry, Chandler on the team).

ugh, this is a tough decision to put an admin in because you waited so late, can you even get AI? And this trade doesn't change the fact you still have MLE and I think everyone would prefer Kidd over AI at PG? I think the best solution is to wait and see where AI goes, I mean you still have the money to get him and I think everyone will vote for this trade if AI is a Mav.

Charles, that is just incorrect. He does not "still have MLE" right now. Well he does, but he can't use it, because he is only 2.7 mil away from the hard cap. How is this not understandable to everyone?

This is not the place to discuss that, and no it is not. Please vote now that "the decision" has been made.

haha the decision, I am going reject on the bases that Dallas has no reason to do this deal, he gains very little from it. He could package NOH's and Darius to a team with cap, clearing cap to be under the hardcap isn't a hard thing. Now if you two both want to do this, I think NY needs to add a player or pick of value...he has many of those.

2/4
I thought about this all day and frankly, if Kidd was seven years younger or if Curry had another year on this deal I would no doubt press veto.
That said, I utilized my progressional formula for this as all trades and a) I actually foresee NYC moving Kidd versus keeping him on payroll and b) I think Dallas has some tricks in store for 2011-12.

I reject.
I was kind of liking this deal if were able to land Iverson, but he didn't and all he gets for Kidd is Curry? I strongly think he can get this same kind of deal for an expiring with a guy with good rating.

3/4
The importance of expirings is big and I think that is being overlooked. He gives up a good, but old player and gains 6 mil from it at the end of the season. These trades are common in the NBA and other leagues. It all depends on your strategy.
I'd also like to add way more lopsided deals have been passed, not that I feel this is even very lopsided to be honest. Especially since Curry becomes a big trade chip to the GM's that understand the importance of freeing up cap for free agency.

I know I am not supposed to post in here but where the hell are all these teams coming from? How come random teams just continue to get thrown into the trade committee? I think this needs to be explained in an actual thread and let it be known to EVERYONE before they r just posting accept or reject
